Erasmus+ KA1 projects 2021-2027
“Inspiring social and green entrepreneurship through mobilities of VET learners and staff”
The Erasmus+ KA1 projects coordinated by Learning Detours aim to contribute to the development of social and green entrepreneurship by enhancing entrepreneurial knowledge and skills of VET students, as well as the ability of VET teachers to influence the development of these competences. The projects offer an opportunity to VET students and staff to acquire experience abroad, learn from best practices, improve leadership, teamwork, intercultural communication and language skills, as well as strengthen the self- confidence and independence of students and pedagogical competences of teachers.
The projects address the issues of youth unemployment and skills mismatch, and offer solutions through the development of entrepreneurial mindset, transversal skills and new opportunities that open due to the experience of international mobility. We aim to inspire the participants to explore business ideas related to sustainability and social impact, and in the future create businesses that positively affect the society and environment.
The partners of the mobility projects are a national consortium of several private VET organisations in Cyprus and several host organisations in other EU countries. As an accredited coordinator of Erasmus+ mobility consortia (since 2021) we strive to create high quality mobility experiences for all participants, and offer cooperation and internationalisation opportunities for the participating organisations.
The consortium organises short-term mobilities for VET students, short-term job shadowing mobilities for VET staff and long-term ErasmusPro mobilities from Cyprus, which currently take place in Spain, Lithuania, Poland or Greece.
It is expected that through the learning mobilities, the students will get ready to pro-actively pursue their career goals and create their own, socially responsible workplace. VET staff will enhance their pedagogical competences and acquire knowledge of new methodologies and tools. The partner organisations will benefit from increased international cooperation, exchange of experiences in training and entrepreneurship development, and staff involvement in this international project.
